Today is World Menopause Day. In Community, we believe that menopause is not a niche issue or a personal issue – it’s a trade union issue.
That’s why yesterday, dozens of our members from across workplaces and industries joined a training session delivered by the brilliant team of Henpicked. We look forward to support those who attended the session in organising their colleagues to secure workplace menopause policies.
At workplaces across the country, also ran events to raise awareness of the menopause.
We have been working with our reps and members across workplaces and industries to secure strong workplace menopause policies for years. Our hardworking reps have secured fantastic policies in various industries, from steel, through private prisons, to the finance sector, and many more.
We are determined to continue this fight until every menopausal woman is not only protected at work, but also has the support she need in order to thrive.
