Raising money for our veterans

In the UK today, there are around 320,000 people without a home.

Homelessness comes in many different forms; some people are sleeping rough on the streets while others may be staying on friends’ sofas or staying in a hostel long-term. Of those, the Royal British Legion say 6,000 are men and women who served this country as a member of our Armed Forces, only to return and be left without a home.

Our members ran, walked and cycled to raise money for First Light Trust. They ran half marathons, took dogs on hill walks and cycled mountain trails.

FirstLight Trust believe in supporting veterans where they live and harnessing the power of their local community to have a positive impact on their lives. They help veterans get back on track through practical support.

We are delighted to have been able to raise over £6,500 for FirstLight Trust and were pleased to be able to present the charitable donation today in Hereford.
