Our inaugural South-West forum!

We recently held our very first South West forum! Joined by members from across our region, we discussed a broad range of topics and set the agenda for our future regional forums would go.

National Officer for Regions Sean Scorer National was in attendance to welcome the newest region of Community to its first forum, and he was joined by Sidra Nisa who gave an overview of the Union Learn project.

The forum had an excellent discussion around future potential in the South, particularly in supporting with building back better in some of the coastal areas where support from Community would be welcomed.

New members to the self-employed committee were amongst those who enjoyed the first regional forum and the ability to join virtually.

There was a broad range of topics discussed at our first forum. One of those was that this would be an ideal opportunity for some bitesize learning for the region so any suggestions on topics would be welcome for future forums. Please get in touch in if you have any suggestions.

The South-West also has a regular self-employed catch up, held virtually on Microsoft Teams. Please keep an eye out in the next month for an email about this or contact us to be included in the invite if you are self-employed or have a friend or colleague who may be interested.
