In response to the Low Pay Commission’s recent report which supports an increase to the National Minimum Wage, Anna Mowbray, Community’s Research & Policy Officer, said:
“We are pleased that the Low Pay Commission has listened to what our members have said and have recommended substantial increases to the national minimum wages.
“The Government have taken these recommendations on board and the National Minimum Wage will rise by 9.7% in April 2023 to £10.42.
“We know that with inflation still high many people on low wages are still struggling, and we will continue to make the case for increases to the minimum wage to ensure that every job pays a decent wage and supports a dignified standard of living.”
