Tribute to Keith Davies, Port Talbot Steelworker and past Community President

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Davies, past Community President and Port Talbot worker.

Keith joined Community on the 7 June 1979, and was a committed trade union member right up to his recent passing. He spent much of his working career representing the rail traffic drivers on Port Talbot steelworks, and he was hugely respected by everyone that knew him.

Keith was elected to the union’s National Executive Council from 2002 to 2011, and he served as the union’s President in 2010. In addition, he was also a long serving member of the Strip Trade Board.

Keith was always a passionate advocate for his members and for our steel industry. He will be sadly missed, and we send our condolences and all best wishes to his family.
