Workers and members of the community gathered in Birmingham today to protest HelloFresh’s decision to dismiss 79 workers from its Nuneaton warehouse.
The company dismissed workers via email last week following concerns being raised about the dire working conditions on site.
Community’s Regional Secretary for the Midlands Gavin Miller said:
“The event today has been fantastic. We’ve had well over 100 people turn up and show their support for workers who have been dismissed from HelloFresh.
“HelloFresh need to do the right thing and reinstate 79 people into their jobs. The reason they need to do the right thing is that they did the wrong thing in dismissing these workers. They were unfairly dismissed and have not been treated with any dignity or any respect. Their rights have not been given any allowance by this employer which is large enough and has enough resource to know better.”
