Bob Tomkins, who has been Community’s Branch Secretary at HMP Forest Bank since 2014, is leaving the prison service at the end of November 2023, after over 20 years as a member and Rep. He is also stepping down from the union’s Justice and Custodial National Committee, on which he has served since 2020, including as Vice Chair since 2021, but will continue to be a Community member.
National Officer Adrian Axtell said:
“Bob has been a hard-working and committed representative of our members at HMP Forest Bank, as well as a regular attendee and speaker at both sector and national biennial conferences.
“He has also been a member of our Justice and Custodial National Committee for many years, providing great insight and knowledge on a wide range of issues.
“Bob will sorely missed, and we thank him for his long service and dedication, and wish him well for the future.”
