Community is delighted to announce that it has secured a UK recognition agreement with global peacebuilding organisation International Alert, which has its headquarters in London.
International Alert focuses on solving the root causes of conflict with people from across divides. It works to break cycles of violence and to build sustainable peace, by working with people directly affected by violent conflict to find lasting solutions and influencing policy and practice to prevent and reduce violent conflict.
Adrian Axtell, National Officer for Community’s Third Sector, said:
“We are delighted to be able to announce the recognition agreement in the UK with this prestigious organisation, following negotiations over a number of weeks.
“We look forward to working in partnership with International Alert and supporting our members there who undertake the organisation’s important work, which is needed now more than ever in these difficult times.”
