British Steel appointments

Responding to news of interim CEO and CCO appointments at British Steel today, Community Assistant General Secretary Alasdair McDiarmid said:

“We welcome Allan Bell and Lisa Coulson to their interim roles of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Commercial Officer at British Steel. We have enjoyed a constructive relationship with Allan and Lisa in their previous roles, and we know that they will fulfil the government’s ambition of maintaining reliable and professional leadership on site.

“We look forward to working with Allan, Lisa and UK Government officials to ensure that our members on site are supported through this historic phase for the steelworks. The focus now must be on securing the continued operation of the blast furnaces and delivering a brighter future for British Steel.”
