Community was proud to support a Mental Health Awareness training event at Tata in Shotton to mark World Mental Health Day (10th October).
Over the course of two sessions, 35 workers were given a coaching on contributors to poor mental health, ways of recognising signs and systems, and steps that can be retaken to regain balance. There were also discussions around the NHS 5 Steps to Mental Wellbeing: to connect, be active, take notice, keep learning, and give.
The sessions were funded by Community through our Wales Union Learning Fund. Leading up to the World Mental Health Day, Community also jointly funded a webinar on Challenging Myths of Suicide, which has been viewed over 195 times.
