Seat held: Women’s representative
Sue has been an active Trade Unionist since 1989. When her friend was on maternity leave in 2000, Sue stepped into the role of branch secretary and hasn’t looked back since!
Sue was elected into the NEC at the same time that our predecessor unions merged to become Community, ensuring that with a new name came a clear representation of equalities and the needs of women in the world of work.
During her time in Community, Sue has also served as Community President, on a number of pension fund trustee boards and on the General Council of the TUC from 2012-2015.
Outside of her trade union duties Sue enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
