Supporting a school in Newport

Community prides itself on being a union that is there for members all the time, not just at work. Through our regional charity fund, we help our members and branches support local causes that matter to their communities.

Our regional charity fund is very proud to be supporting Maes Ebbw special educational needs school in Newport.

Our donation has contributed towards creating a brand new sensory outdoor garden with specialised play equipment for disabled children.

The Community member who applied for the funding has said:

“This has made a huge difference to the outdoor experience the children now have. It is now wheelchair friendly and has also made the teachers’ lives a lot easier.”
