All children in P1 to P3 and those at pre-school will return from Monday 22 February, along with secondary pupils who need to complete coursework.
Commenting on the annoucement by the First Minister today (16 February 2021), Senior Professional Officer (Scotland) Dougie Atkinson said:
“We welcome the phased and cautious return of pupils, but the promised appropriate mitigation measures must be in place to ensure the safety of staff and students.
“We also welcome the one off payment for teachers and lecturers involved in the delivery of National 5, Higher & Advanced Higher courses this year.
“We repeat our call for Mr Swinney to ensure that teachers, support staff and early years staff are early candidates for vaccination.”
