Commenting on the cancellation of next year’s Higher and Advanced Highers examinations, Dougie Atkinson, Senior Professional Officer (Scotland) with Voice Community Scotland, said:
“We welcome the end to the uncertainty and speculation, which has caused much anxiety for students and teachers.
“It makes sense to make this decision now because of the levels of disruption to education.
“On behalf of our members, we will be seeking further details and assurances about the implications for their workload.”
