What this agreement means for Community members at GXO B&Q Wellingborough
With this recognition agreement in place, Community is officially recognised to consult and negotiate on behalf of our members at the Wellingborough site. Community will negotiate and consult with management on a wide range of vital workplace matters, including:
- Pay structures, annual pay reviews, and terms and conditions of employment
- Holidays, staffing, and job grading
- Health, safety, and welfare of staff
- Employment policies, procedures, and disciplinary machinery
- Statutory consultations, including individual/collective redundancies and TUPE transfers
- Any terms agreed upon through collective bargaining will be incorporated directly into workers’ employment contracts.
Further to the above, Community will elect two Workplace Representatives to represent members on-site. These representatives will also be provided with facilities and equipment by GXO to undertake their role, as well as paid time off to undertake their duties. GXO have also committed to bi-monthly meetings to keep our representatives and members up to date with business updates.
This agreement is built on mutual respect and shared objectives. Community is already recognised at several key GXO sites, and this agreement further reflects GXO’s commitment to working with us to ensure its workforce is supported, represented and heard.
