Pay increase for workers at Glen Dimplex

Following extensive talks, we are happy to confirm that Community members at Glen Dimplex have voted to accept an improved offer. The revised offer gives a combined consolidated and non-consolidated 7.9% pay award to the lowest paid workers in the factory.

Going forward, the work of Branch Secretary Lynda Bruce and Regional Organiser Chris Cross will focus on working with the company on a revised Partnership Working agreement and a job evaluation for the workforce. Community will work to build our rep delegation on site to assist with building our voice going forward.

We are very pleased to have secured this pay increase for the lowest-paid workers, particularly as the cost-of-living crisis continues to grow. This agreement has provided a platform for meaningful negotiations moving forward.

We are incredibly pleased by this result and could not have achieved it without the work of our reps and members. This shows what being part of a trade union can achieve, and the value of trade union membership to all workers.

The more members we have, the stronger our negotiating position will be so please continue to encourage your colleagues to join if they have not done so already.
