Pay increase at United Wire!

We’re extremely pleased to have secured a 7% pay increase for our members at United Wire based in Edinburgh.

Following approval from the majority of members balloted, this pay increase will be in effect from 1st January 2023, and will be paid retrospectively.

United Wire has a rich history of woven wire mesh production to service all aspects of industrial and commercial processes and applications since 1825.

A massive thank you to Community Regional Organiser, Jason Wyllie who negotiated a better deal after rejecting United Wire’s initial offer of a 5% increase to our members’ pay.

As the cost-of-living crisis continues, we are proud to secure vital pay increases for our members to help protect their financial security.
