Football team grows in confidence under Community sponsorship

The Knebworth Under 11 Lionesses have had a fantastic season under the continued support and sponsorship of Community.

The youth football team has been supported through the regional charity fund, which supports initiatives in our members’ local communities.

Coach Adam Conder said: “The girls have had another fantastic season and continue to grow in confidence, ability and squad size and we couldn’t do this without this kind of support and investment.

“Us coaches, the parents but most importantly the players are extremely grateful.

“The girls continue to go from strength to strength as individuals but more importantly as a team.

“The girls made it to the quarter finals of the Cup for the second season in a row, once again winning a penalty shootout on the way. Next season we step up to 9-a-side and offside.”

Community prides itself on being a union that is there for its members all the time, not just at work.

Through the regional charity fund, we help our members and branches support local causes that matter to their communities.
