The winners of the first Community Quiz are Adrian and Amanda Noyce from Rugby. The online member-only quiz had over 150 teams or individuals competing in the virtual competition. Adrian and Amanda took the £100 first prize in a closely fought event.
Commenting on the victory, Adrian said:
“I really enjoyed the Community Quiz as it was a great social event during the lockdown period. It really went to the wire and there were several members who kept going in and out of the leader board as the evening went on.
“All the information on the answers was really interesting too. My wife, who recently joined Community, and I usually do quizzes at our local church and although we do reasonably well we never win so it was a real thrill to win!
“The generous prize is much appreciated as I’ve been furloughed for a while now and the drop in wages does bite.
“I look forward to doing the next quiz and hope to see some other names on the leader board next time.”
Quizmaster and Community Support team member, Dan Warren, said:
“We wanted to offer something different for our members, some light relief and entertainment during this difficult period. Many of our usual entertainment past times and events have been cancelled or postponed so we believed a quiz would be interesting, informative and a bit of fun.
“We are really pleased that so many members took part and we’re looking forward to the next quiz”
