“We welcome the news that the Employment Rights Bill has passed an important milestone in its passage through parliament.
“This is a landmark piece of legislation which will enshrine rights that serve our members across the nations and regions of the UK: strengthening workers’ rights and bringing an end to unfair and exploitative practices which have lingered on far too long in our workplaces. These are issues which Community has campaigned on over the course of many years, and the bill represents a victory for the trade union movement.
“We are grateful to the Minister for Employment Rights, Kate Dearden, for her diligent engagement with stakeholders throughout the process. This is a bill which shows what Labour can deliver in government, and we look forward to seeing it on the statute book in the near future.”
