Community Union delivers public speaking workshops in Bristol

Following successful sessions with GXO Barnsley and Doncaster, we recently hosted two more public speaking workshops in Bristol, in partnership with The Oratory Studio.

Attendees came from various charities and community groups across the city.

As part of our Union Learn West project, we’re offering workshops across the WECA region focused on communication and confidence. These sessions cover content (what you say), presentation (how you say it), and delivery (overall impact), supporting both prepared and impromptu speaking. Participants practice active listening, constructive feedback, and gain confidence to communicate effectively, skills essential in meetings, one-to-ones, and negotiations.

Public speaking is a valuable soft skill across all sectors whether presenting, leading meetings, or speaking at events. These workshops provide a supportive space to grow, empowering participants to speak up and contribute to healthier, more inclusive workplaces.

Community will continue to offer these opportunities to help our members and Reps build confidence and a strong collective voice at work.

Through our learning project in the Southwest, we can facilitate training tailored to your needs – for member and non-members.
