Community Union at the London Dangoor Awards 2026

Community Union was proud to sponsor and attend the 10th London Dangoor Awards,  which celebrates the incredible individuals and organisations making a difference across London’s faith and belief communities.

A special highlight was a message from His Majesty King Charles III, recognising the valuable contribution of London’s diverse communities.

First established in 2016, the awards recognises grassroots projects that have positively impacted the city’s communities, each year awarding up to 40 projects with £500 to support their work.

Awards categories include interfaith relations, supporting women, promoting inclusion, health and wellbeing, schools and tackling poverty.

Community Union’s Sayid Ali and Sati Bhachu attended the event, connecting with organisations and showing our support for the fantastic work taking place across communities.

It was a pleasure to see Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE, Bushra Nasir CBE DL, Rev Nims Obunge MBE DL, Sonali Shah and Carrie Alderton helping celebrate the achievements of communities and volunteers.

Congratulations to all the award winners and nominees.
