Community Dental Nurse activist nominated for national award

Community’s Lead Dental Nurse Activist, Celie Brookes, has been nominated for a prize in the 2024 Dentistry Awards. Celie, who hails from Runcorn and works at a dental practice in Cheshire, has been nominated for Dental Nurse of the Year in the North of England category.

Tiffany Gillies, Community Union’s Assistant Director of Operations, said:

“We are delighted that Celie has been nominated for this prestigious award which shows just how valued she is by colleagues and patients alike. Celie has played a big part in helping our membership grow in the dental nurse profession, and has been a great advocate for dental nurses across the country who are looking for support and recognition at work. We wish her the best of luck for the awards next month, and we know that she’ll continue to be a champion for the sector.”

The Dentistry Awards 2024 celebrate excellence in dental practice, recognising dental professionals for their achievements and advancements. This year’s ceremony will take place on Friday 13 September at The Athena, Leicester. For more information visit: https://dentistry.co.uk/2024/07/31/the-2024-dentistry-awards-finalists/
