Community recently teamed up with Jo White MP to deliver a dedicated event on employment opportunities for members of the Hong Kong community in Bassetlaw, Nottinghamshire.
The session, held last month at the Crossing Church in Worksop, provided the community with practical support and guidance on living and working in the UK.
It also covered employment rights, tips on securing work, and opportunities to develop digital and introductory AI skills.
The event was designed to improve confidence, accessibility and understanding of workplace rights for Hong Kong residents and built on Community’s ongoing outreach commitments across the Midlands.
Head of Community Learn, Sidra Nisa, said:
“By combining guidance on employment rights with digital and AI learning, we’re helping people build the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed at work.
“It was fantastic to see such positive engagement, and we’re looking forward to bringing more sessions like this to communities across the country.”
