It has been reported today that Clarks have agreed to mediated with ourselves facilitated by Acas on the ongoing industrial dispute related to their distribution centre in Street, Somerset.
A spokesperson for the trade union Community says:
“Community were approached by Acas yesterday. We agreed immediately to meet with them along with Clarks as part of our ongoing efforts to resolve the dispute.
We are pleased that the Company have agreed to meet with us and Acas and we look forwards to entering the process. We are hopeful that we can come to a resolution that works in everybody’s interests, protects our members livelihoods and recognises their loyalty to the Company.”
