Championing families with Special Voices

Community were delighted to recently join the Special Voices for their Information Day on 13 November 2025.

On the day, we connected with parents and carers and reinforce our commitment to supporting children, young people, and adults with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).

Community was proud to attend the Information Day to engage with attendees directly, focusing on offering tangible support, specifically through our training and learning opportunities.

These programmes are designed to empower individuals to:

  • Develop essential personal skills.
  • Prepare for successful employment.
  • Support young adults in growing their confidence and workplace potential.

We saw first hand the passion and dedication in the room, and we would like to express our sincere thanks to all the individuals who volunteered their time on the day—your commitment makes a real difference.

Who are Special Voices?

Special Voices is an organisation dedicated to raising awareness of the rights and needs of children and young people with additional needs.

Their fundamental goal is to ensure families are fully consulted and involved in the planning and development of services that affect them.

  • Parent-led: The organisation is driven by a main steering group of volunteer parents and carers.
  • Needs-focused: They gather the collective views of families and present them directly to service planners and decision-makers.
  • Their impact: This essential work helps ensure that local services remain genuinely needs-led and family-focused.
