Kate Dearden is the former Head of Research, Policy and External Relations at Community.
During her time at Community, Kate led our union’s research, policy and politics unit. In July 2024, Kate was elected to represent the people of Halifax as their MP. You’ll find her writing about a number of topics from skills to the future of work. When she’s not lobbying the government on behalf of our members, you’ll find Kate helping out at the local food bank or walking her dog.
