Caroline Carver (née Wigmore) is a PAT Chairman Emeritus

Caroline began her teaching career in 1977 as a primary school teacher in the London Borough of Merton.

After joining PAT, she went on to take up positions as Branch Secretary, Field Officer, National Council Member and, in 2000, became the Association’s National Chairman.

She retired from teaching and her union positions in 2007.


Founded in 1970, the Professional Association of Teachers (PAT) became Voice: the union for education professionals in 2008, transferring into Community in 2020.
