Scouts are soon to hit the road again with Community’s assistance

1st October 2018

“I immediately thought of Community and how they can support this great fundraiser…”

A local scout group recently received financial support towards vital transport from a steelworker and his trade union.

Northop Hall Scout Group are currently fundraising for a mini bus to help with day trips and transporting scouts to events. Upon hearing about this, Community Branch Secretary John Wainwright submitted an application to Community’s Regional Charity Fund and received £250 to help toward the van.

After presenting the cheque to the leadership and the children, John said “After hearing that the scouts had put together a fund to pay for a mini bus, I immediately thought of Community and how they can support this great fundraiser. The whole team at Northop Hall is eternally grateful, and have said that they are hoping to purchase the mini bus in the spring.”
