While visiting Cardiff to meet with Community reps, Roy Rickhuss took time to visit the Ty Hafan centre with regional staff to see how the fundraising undertaken by Community members has positively impacted the day to day operations.
After the visit Roy said:
“It was good to see first-hand the important work that Ty Hafan does for children and families. I understand why our members were so inspired to support this cause. Community is proud to be part of the extensive fundraising in order to keep this invaluable hospice open and I have no doubt we will continue to support our members’ fundraising efforts for Ty Hafan in the future.”
Ty Hafan is one of the UK’s largest paediatric palliative hospice charities and they provide support, care and comfort to children, young people and their families. Last September Community members walked from Port Talbot to the hospice raising over £12,000.
