Standing Together: Belfast 2022

Welcome to our hub for Community’s Biennial Delegate Conference 2022. This hub holds everything you need to know about the conference. We’ll be regularly updating it so make sure to check back regularly!

We are delighted to be in Belfast, a city interwoven with over a century of trade union history.

Through difficult times over the past few years, Community members have stood together to support one another. Whether that be in securing adequate PPE, protecting workers’ rights when working from home or furlough for all.

Our members have proudly done so time and time again since the formation of our union. Whether it was threats to our traditional industries and terrible workplace practices, to uniting and organising for a union in the workplace. Community members have always stood together in solidarity and in strength.

The three years since the last conference have once again demonstrated the power in trade unions, and the difference a trade union membership can make. For the future challenges, be they decarbonisation, industrial change, fighting for workers’ rights, we must stand together.
