Anti-racism training

Being actively anti-racist is a force for change and a positive impact we can all have in society.

Join Community on Thursday 3 October at 9.30am for our anti-racism webinar. This webinar runs for 1.5 hours and aims to improve your understanding of race by exploring race as a social construct. During the session you will discover what racism is, how racism functions and how it is experienced.

The session will be delivered by Sellisha Lockyer. Sellisha is an experienced Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Consultant and an expert in race inclusion strategies.

Community training is always delivered in a safe space. We want to provide opportunities to learn and ask questions that further your learning journey without fear of criticism.

About the trainer

Sellisha has been working to support organisations on their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) journey in a variety of ways over the last seven years as a consultant, in-house positions, and through voluntary work. This has included setting up and managing networks, redesigning recruitment processes, conducting DEI audits, progressive policy development, campaign management, designing and delivering DEI training, diversity data analysis and a focus on facilitating systemic culture change.

Passionate about anti-discriminatory practice and intersectionality, Sellisha has been working closely on gender and race equity, supporting organisations to be actively anti-racist, improve their gender equity and consider intersections, so that those most marginalised are brought to the centre of focus in DEI work.

Within her voluntary work she sits on the Steering Committee of the UK’s Women’s Equality Party and founded the Party’s Race Equality Caucus.
