Community at Labour Party Conference 2018

Community - 5th September 2018

 

This year Community will be hosting and taking part in various events across Labour Party conference. If you want to learn more about Community and the work we do, please visit us at stand number 65&66 in the exhibition hall.

We will be hosting our annual reception for Community members and other invited guests on Saturday 22nd September at 19:00. If you are a Community member, please do join us for the evening.

 

Sunday 23rd September

 

From 12:00 – St George’s Plateau, Liverpool. Join us at the March for the Many, calling for a People’s Vote on the final Brexit deal.

 

 

              

From 15:00 – ACC Hall 2, Room 4. Community will have a speaker at LGBT Labour’s event ‘We’re making an EUge mistake’, talking about the rights and protections that are at risk on our departure from the European Union and how we can protect them.

 

 

 

 

From 20:00. We’ll be joining Labour Friends of the Forces at their conference reception.  Please note this event is invitation only.

 

 

Monday 24th September

 

From 08:00 – Martin Luther King Building, Museum of Liverpool, Albert Docks. We’ll be joining Progress to share our thoughts on whether it’s time for our social and economic infrastructure to be revamped.

 

 

Tuesday 25th September

 

From 10:30 – ACC, Meeting Room 12. ‘From campus to the Commons: How students can drive Labour into Government’, if you want to understand the importance of the student vote, come to the Labour Students Fringe, where a Community representative will be speaking.

 

 

 

 

From 13:30 – Merseyside Maritime Museum, L3 4AQ. Join Community and the Fabians to hear more about the work of our Automation Commission at our event ‘Should we fear machines? The opportunities and challenges of technological change for workers.’
