Community have donated £1200 to Northampton Hope Centre to pay for ground clearance that will facilitate an allotment space that grows produce to feed homeless people in Northampton. The allotment will also be used for training in agricultural qualifications that provides the opportunity for Northampton’s homeless population to find skilled work and engage with their community.

Speaking about the donation, National Executive Council member for Community East Midlands Dougie Fairbairn said “We are delighted to be providing this donation, our relationship with the Hope Centre is something we are very proud of. As the homelessness crisis worsens we need to take action to support our local communities – we are proud to offer help to the homeless people of Northampton.”
