Be part of something special at Childcare & Education Expo London this March

On the 4th and 5th March 2022, early years and primary education professionals will be making their way to Olympia London to be part of something special – Childcare & Education Expo. The established event has been striving to improve the education and development of children since 2009 and welcomes thousands of childcare professionals to join this journey year-on-year. So why should you attend?

  1. Free hands-on workshops

In the centre of the exhibition hall, visitors can find the interactive workshop space. Three workshops will run each day at the event and are completely free to attend! These fantastic sessions are designed to leave visitors with fresh and exciting ideas to take back to their settings that will engage and energise the children under their supervision.

On Friday, learn activities that will help regulate children’s emotions, be invited to explore loose parts in action and leave with the knowledge to implement a movement rich curriculum that focuses on active learning. On Saturday, sing a song of phase 1 phonics, discover how to increase mental and emotional health with music and see what science in early education looks like.

  1. CPD seminars and panel sessions

With two panel sessions and eight seminars to choose from, the learning opportunities are endless. As always, the programme will focus on the essential building blocks of children’s development, looking at topics such as play, literacy, wellbeing and environments. Visitors can also explore the value of nature pedagogy and be part of a powerful session focusing on how to become a connected, calm and conscious leader.

An important session run by Ofsted themselves will provide an inspection update and explain how inspections will consider the key aspects of the EYFS reforms. Vanessa Dooley, inspection expert, will be giving the inside scoop on how to shine through the inspection process to guarantee good results.

  1. Meet special guests

Award-winning Early Years author and owner of ABC Does, Alistair Bryce-Clegg, will be returning as a fan-favourite of Childcare & Education Expo. Meet him on the show floor or attend one of his popular seminars on play!

Meet mum, entrepreneur and children’s food expert Annabel Karmel – who has pioneered the way families all over the world feed their babies and children. Annabel will be on her stand both days at the show, ready to share her knowledge and answer questions.

  1. Exhibition and shopping village

The show boasts an extensive shopping village with over 100 of the best suppliers and associations in the sector. Across the show floor, exhibitors are showcasing a range of products suitable for every area in early years and primary education. The exhibition provides the opportunity for shopping, sourcing new suppliers, networking with associations, redeeming exclusive offers and taking part in amazing competitions!

  1. Interactive Feature Areas

Wellingtons for Langley Hall Day Nursery and Langley Hall Primary Academy have teamed up to create the feature area ‘A Magical Place to Play’. Discover how to create a stimulating and resource-rich environment in this area and don’t forget to attend the live dance performances at 10:15am and 11:30am on Saturday.

For a creative experience, head to the Creative Steps Activity Zone where you can try your hand at creating crafts for Easter, Mother’s Day and other creative spring-themed creations with resources provided by YPO. In the various Mindfulness Zones, find the well-loved colouring wall that promotes the benefits of wellness colouring and the Rocks Zone, where you can create your own personal rock with resources provided by Hope Education.

  1. Quality networking

One of the great benefits of attending Childcare & Education Expo is the chance to become part of a community of passionate professionals. The show offers the chance to connect, share ideas and gain knowledge as visitors learn from each other as they navigate sector changes and challenges.
